The new Information & Communications Technology ICA11 Training Package was endorsed by the National Quality Council on 9 May 2011. The Training Package will be available for purchase from the IBSA Bookshop in early August or it can be downloaded as a PDF.
The updated Information and Communications Technology ICA11 Training Package includes 397 units of competency and 29 Qualifications and 80 imported units from other training packages and accredited courses.
The key changes are:
- A range of new competencies and the revision of existing competencies
- Environmental sustainability competencies incorporated in the core or elective groups of each qualification
- New qualifications in Digital and Interactive Games covering different skills required in supporting the design, development and programming of digital games
- Existing qualifications updated to incorporate greater flexibility

I would definitely recommend the ICA11 to get PD programs to gain self-confidence and develop their teaching ability, which are closely related. Although real training courses can’t be ignored, for example, courses of professional development for teachers ,because only the combination of these methods make educators good professionals and, as a result, improve the quality of lessons for students.
