Registered training organisations are reminded that any course leading to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification for an international student must be CRICOS registered.
Under Section 8 of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, training providers that are not CRICOS registered cannot offer an AQF course to an overseas student.
This requirement is regardless of whether the course is the international student’s primary or secondary course. Put simply, if you are offering any AQF qualification to an international student you must be CRICOS registered for that qualification.
