Productivity Commission: Education and Training Workforce Study

The Education and Training Workforce study is currently focusing on the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. A report will be submitted to the Australian Government in April 2011. The Commission has been asked to consider both the VET workforce as a whole – including trainers and assessors in enterprises, adult community education and community organisations – and the TAFE workforce as a subset. The Commission released the Vocational Education and Training Workforce issues paper on 1 June 2010 to assist the preparation of submissions. In December 2009, Service Skills Australia released its report into Workforce Development for Service Industries VET Practitioners, as part of our New Deal project. The report is available for download on the SSA website.
