Licensing units proposed for TLI training package

The Case for Endorsement for Version 3 of the TLI07 Transport and Logistics Training Package has been submitted to the National Quality Council with the inclusion of a number of licensing related units of competency.

The submission by the Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council includes the addition of a licensing unit of competency for the transport of dangerous good licensing as well as licensing units for heavy vehicles.

The case for endorsement also includes units of competency aligned to taxi driver licensing as recently endorsed by COAG.

The proposed version includes the addition of: 

  • certificate II and certificate III in driving operations
  • certificate III and certificate IV in international freight forwarding and skill set
  • road tunnel operators units and skill set
  • coach/bus unit
  • rail infrastructure units, certificate II and addition of skill sets
  • certificate III in rail driving
  • logistics skill sets.
