On Wednesday night 15th of September St George College Library hosted the 2010 Course Information Evening organised by St George College. Visitors had the opportunity to talk to staff about study and career options and services offered by the college.

Visitors had a chance to win one of the Lucky Door prizes:

1st prize- Dinner for two at Embark Restaurant, Loftus

2nd prize-Two IMAX Movie tickets

3rd prize- 8 Gig Flash Drive

Jigsaw in the library

The new 1000 piece jigsaw has been solved in less than a week! Thanks to all participants, we hope you had good fun!

The next jigsaw is going to be a 1000 piece Sweet Tooth puzzle we are going to put out after the Spring vacation. We look forward to your participation next term.

Guide for connecting to the Wireless Network for students using laptops

Free of charge wireless network is available at St George College in the library and building F. To connect to the wireless network you must have your DET username and password. If you do not know or forget you username and password please contact the Student Administration Office or Library for assistance. Please see attached guide for connecting to the wireless network for step-by-step insructions.

There are no instructions for MACS.

The only browsers that can be used are Internet Explorer and Firefox, if you have another browser you can download Internet Explorer or Firefox.

St George College Library tries to ensure that we are meeting the needs of not only the students of the college but also the staff. We are able to purchase resources that teachers need to complete their class preparation and also those that they require their students to have access to. Staff also have access to a range of AV equipment to assist them in making resources and working with students on assignments and class work.
The podcast lists more of the services, but don’t forget that at any time you can contact your liasion librarian to find out more and get more assistance.
