Autumn library holiday hours

St George College Library will be recarpeted over the Autumn holidays. It is necessary for the library to close from Friday 8th April 2011 and not reopen until the first day of term 2 (Wednesday 27th April) 2011.
No item will be due during the time that the library is closed.
It will still be possible to return items during this time in the return chute between 9am and 5pm each day (public holidays excluded).

Xmas vacation hours 2010-11

The Xmas holidays are fast approaching. Below is a listing of the hours that St George College library will be open over this period.
The two most important dates to remember are:
* Tuesday 7th Dec – when the library will be closed all day due to the annual library training day and
* Friday 10th Dec – which is the last day of opening for the year. Remember – you must have returned all your items by this date or you will not only owe money but you will get no results for your course. The library will not reopen until January 2011 and library staff will not be available to be contacted until this time. Once the library reopens in the New Year and you have enrolled for 2011 you may borrow again.

Monday 27 September – Friday 1 October 9:00am – 3:00pm
Tuesday 5 October – Friday 8 October 9:00 am – 3:00pm
Monday 4 October Closed for the Labour Day Public Holiday
Closed on weekends
4th term resumes on Monday 11 October

What is happening at the Library!

The new semester is well under way and we are now looking towards the Easter break. The Library will be closed from Friday 2nd April until Monday 12th April inclusive. The Library will be closed during this period for a network upgrade. We will be open from Tuesday13th April to Friday 16th April from 9:00am to 3:pm. The second term resumes on Monday 19th April.

Library Week will be a feature of second term. Mark the week 24-28 May in your Diary and come along and join in the fun and activities. We will have the” Biggest Morning Tea” on Wednesday 26th May to raise money for Cancer research.

Spring 2009 holiday hours

The holidays are fast approaching again. Below you will find our holiday hours for the upcoming break. Please be aware that we will be closed for one extra day due to a TAFENSW state wide upgrade to our library management system. We are moving from the Unicorn platform to Symphony, this will mean some retraining for library staff so please be patient with us while we adapt to this new software.
As a consequence of the upgrade, as well as being closed for one extra day, there will no renewals available (even via the internet) from approximately 9pm Friday 2nd October 2009 to at least 9am Wednesday 7th October 2009.
Also, from 4pm Friday 2nd October until at least 9am Wednesday 7th October 2009 there will be no access to loans, or TAFEcat (catalogue). Returned items will also not be able to be checked in off your TAFEcard until the system is functioning.

St George TAFE library vacation hours are as follows:

Friday 10th and Monday 13th April 2009 CLOSED

Tuesday 14th – Friday 24th April 2009 9:00am – 3:00pm

The library will resume its regular opening hours from Monday 27th April 2009.

Christmas is coming!

You may have noticed the Christmas decorations as you entered the library recently. Christmas is definitely on the way! Although you may think it somewhat early for festive festooning, term is almost over and the holidays will soon follow.

It is also a timely reminder that all the items you have borrowed recently should be returned by 3pm on the 12th December for this is the last day that the library is open. So make the most of the time you have left and have a Merry Christmas!

Autumn holidays approaching

First term has rushed by and we are almost at the end of the term. Don’t forget to renew your Library items over the vacation period. All loans will continue as usual over the vacation, so if an item falls due during the vacation period, it is your responsibility to renew it by the due date. Don’t risk a fine of ten dollar per item by not renewing your items on time.

You can renew your items by phone on 95986311, by coming into the Library personally or on line at http://tafecat.tafensw.edu.au/tafecat.html

The vacation period is :

Monday 14th April to Thursday 24th April. The Library will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm each weekday during this period.
The library will be closed for Anzac Day on Friday 25th April.

Regular hours resume on Monday 28th April 2008.
