This month the library has a display about the wonderful author, illustrator, farmer and early conservationist Beatrix Potter. We have a number of her delightful stories available for borrowing in the children’s section of our collection. We can also ask for an interlibrary loan of the DVD ‘Miss Potter’ if students and staff are interested.
August the 26th is Daffodil Day, the Australian Cancer Councils fundraising effort to support the many people who are diagnosed with life- threatening cancer . This month on display in the library are resources to help understand the disease and provide support to families and friends.
If you are interested in Australian history, both Crystal Street and West Street libraries have a display of books and posters commemorating Anzac day. You can find information and stories by and about Indigenous Australians. Factual resources about immigration, as well as biographies and fiction based on the experience of migrating to Australia.
