The Adobe suite of software is available for use both at work (check local roll out) and at home. Students will be arriving in TVET classes with these laptops from 2010 onwards. <p class="Body-BodyText" style="margin: 4pt 0cm 4pt 0.5pt">During May and June 2009 the Centre for Learning Innovation partnered with scientists from National ICT Australia (NICTA) to trial the mContext application in a high school setting.  mContext is a client-server application that was used to deliver a wide variety of digital learning resources to Apple iPod Touch devices used by Year 11 Ancient History students at Merrylands High School. <a href="http://www.cli.nsw.edu.au/cli/news/mcontext.shtm"><span><span style="color: #006675">More on mContext</span></span></a></p>

The Centre for Learning Innovation has developed a series of Laptop wraps that are proving to be very popular with teachers and students as they begin to use laptops in their classrooms. Laptop wraps are topic-based resources and include online and offline activities that exploit the laptop tools and utilise the new suite of Adobe, Microsoft, and other educational software on the laptops. They are available for all KLAs, initially targeting stage 5 syllabus outcomes. Newly released this term is a question bank and quiz application building upon work by Vince Aranda, at SWSI. Containing over 700 questions, the bank randomly generates quizzes allowing students to self-assess their readiness to sit the AS1796 Welding Certification examination. Tools4U provide support for the new suite of Adobe, Microsoft, and other educational software. The Centre for Learning Innovation developed Tools4U that include online tutorials, examples of classroom use and step-by-step guides.
