As users and subscribers to this blog will know the platform has been plagued with problems since the upgrade in July. Thankfully it look as if they are close to resolving them.
We received the following update from TAFE eLearning Systems today regarding the status of the Adobe Connect server.
Dear Adobe User
As you are probably aware, Adobe Connect recordings are currently working, for everyone
The Adobe Server Administrator has now been able to prove that the Symantec Anti Virus (SAV) was in fact causing the recording issue’s
So thanks to them, and a very special thanks to Gavin Drew (ITD) for his expertise
Currently the Adobe server is running without SAV, and as this is allowing the recordings to work, this will continue until the new version of SAV passes all the testing and goes live
Adobe have now also released a Service Pack for Adobe Connect 7, which addresses the Audio issues. This will form Part 2 of testing on the test server
Once the testing on the test server is complete, the software will go live
We will let you know when this has happened, and will at that time request reports on any other outstanding issues
To the 70 people who completed the survey, thank you very much for your time and for providing great information
