For those interested in Copyright in an educational context the Australian Flexible Learning Framework e-Learning innovations has posted the Adobe Recording of an online presentation by Fiona Migan, DET Copyright Office on the 5th Nov 2008
The session covered

  • Copyright Basics: what copyright is, what it covers, how long it lasts
  • Free for Education Materials (i.e. Creative Commons): what it this and how they can be used in day to day teaching
  • Direct licensing: what it is and when appropriate
  • General exceptions in the Act which relate to education
